Inspired by Miriam Haskell - Necklace and Bracelet
This wonderful set is the first in my latest collection. I’ve been inspired by Miriam Haskell, one of the most famous costume jewelry designers of the 20th century.
The motifs are made from various beads; semi-precious briolettes, Czech fire-polished and pressed glass, glass pearls, and Swarovski crystals to represent flowers and leaves. They are sewn and wired together on a backing with stamped brass embellishments.
The back is covered with ultra-suede to be soft against the skin. Both pieces have Czech fire-polished strands to go around the neck and wrist. The necklace is 18″ long, and the bracelet is made to fit snuggly around a 7″ wrist.
Toggle clasp on the necklace and box clasp with safety chain on the bracelet. Many hours of handwork went into this beautiful set.
Look for more like this in the coming months.
